XNAnimation adn .x files

Does XNAnimation process .x files ?

Yes. The XNAnimation pipeline uses a model/material processor to handle animated models and it works on top of the default FBX and X importers that came with the XNA GS 2.0. Although I do not work with X files it should work fine.

But I can't run the .x animated model.....

I never tried .X models with the XNAnimation but both importers (FBX and X) output the same DOM, which is used by the model and XNAnimation processors. So, it could be a problem with the model or animation instead of the X format. Anyway I will start to make some tests with X files.

Also, a new version of the library will be released next week with some bug fixeds, new features and probably a model viewer.

I tried this .X file : tiny_4anim.x in dxsdk samples.

I've just tried the "tiny.x" model that comes with the DirectX SDK (June 2008) and it worked fine. However I tried it with the new version of the library that I'm testing... Not sure if it really works in the 0.3 version.
