Seperating Model and Animation

for my current project I am using the Animation Component Library. But it won't be enhanced so I think about a change of the animation Component to XNAnimation...

There are many Characters with the same animation and skeleton in my game but with different meshes.
I wonder if i could seperate the mesh from the Animations with XNAnimation.
In the Animation Component Library was ASF and AMC supported (Acclaim Skinning data file and Acclaim MotionCapture file). But nobody knew how to use them.
If there is a solution in the XNAnimation i will choose it for sure.
