Model Vertex Problem

Hi, I have been trying to create and animate my own models using max and the XNAnimation libs. The problem that I'm having at the minute is that with the hands of the model when they are animated certain ways some of the vertexes move off at unexpected angles and the model becomes distorted. This problem is only happening with the hands the head and legs are working fine, I was wondering if anybody else had this problem or if anyone might know what causes this. I am animating the model with the Biped bone structure and using the skin modifer to attach the bones to the model.

I resolved the issue it was a combination of the envelopes in max not being perfect and also that I was scaling the model down in xna aswell.
