Lighting problem if model size decreased

Hi. I'm just learning how to use XNANIMATION (which is cool stuff realy :) ) but I seem to have a little issue with the lighting.
You see I started from the tutorial script at ziggyware. The code from there worked perfectly but as soon as I
started to resclale the model the lighting turned weird. Meaning:
I added to the code the line
 - effect.World = Matrix.CreateScale(0.07f, 0.07f, 0.07f)
which made my model smaller as I wanted it but the whole model turned black
I moved the light right in the front of the model but it was useless. But as soon as I rescaled the model a bit (0.7f, 0.7f, 0.7f) the colors started to come back.
Is there something I don't know about the lighting with xnanimation? what should I do?
I would need it to work with these settings:

viewMatrix = Matrix.CreateLookAt(new Vector3(0, 0, 3), new Vector3(2, 2, 1), new Vector3(0, 0, 1));
projectionMatrix = Matrix.CreatePerspectiveFieldOfView(MathHelper.PiOver4, device.Viewport.AspectRatio, 1.0f, 300.0f);
worldMatrix = Matrix.CreateScale(0.07f, 0.07f, 0.07f)
