"Input model does not contain a skeleton" help needed

Feb 1, 2010 at 7:35 PM

Hi, can anyone help me with this issue? I have d/led XNAnimation_0.7.0.0_BETA2. After that, I follow this website to export an animated model in maya. After exporting, I went on to replace PlayerMarine fbx with my exported fbx but I keep having this "Input model does not contain a skeleton" error message. Can someone tell me what to do to solve this problem? Thank you very much.

I haven't used Maya at all, but looking at the steps in the tutorial, I think the problem comes from baking the animation (deforming the mesh according to the skeleton) and then deleting the skeleton. XNAnimation NEEDS the model to be rigged to a valid skeleton. So try following the entire tutorial except the fourth step.

Can you mail me the FBX file? I have 3DS Max and I could take a look at it. r2d2rigo at gmail dot com
