hi

first of all sorry for my terrible english.

im developing a kinect virtual dressing room like these: www.fitnect.com and http://vimeo.com/25933286

im doing this with VS2010 and XNA4.0 and my kinect

what i have done is: captured the depth,RGB,Skeleton From Kinect and mach them together.
i load the dress 3d model(.fbx) but i cant adapt the dress to the user Body Based On User Skeleton.

how can i use your XNA Animation Library to do this?

please help.

thanks

I have recently noticed that my game was on HiDef Profile, and that it was bad for compatibility on PC. I decided to switch to Reach profile, which caused animated model loading to stop working.

I get this error when loading a model :

Content.Load<SkinnedModel>("Models/Characters/Player/cha_Hero_Model");

Error loading "Models\Characters\Player\cha_Hero_Model". File contains Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Graphics.SkinnedEffect but trying to load as XNAnimation.Effects.SkinnedModelBasicEffect.

If I switch back to HiDef, it works. Any help would be appreciated.

We simply call it as a[2] or arrayList[0] etc.

So all you need to do to call your specific animation is by using skinnedModel.AnimationClips.Values[HereIsWhereYourElementNumberComes].

here is a example

He made a XML for the model. It was sheer luck, I accidentally opened the XML instead of the FBX. Now I just need to know how he managed to use the XML.

Hey Guys,
I downloaded the XNAnimation Library and was going through it.

I found something really interesting when I opened the FBX for the Spider animation (EnemyBeast.fbx) in the SkinnedCrossFade.cs. The FBX (opened in WordPad) has only one Take or Clip but during debugging it actually has 13 Animations running.
However when I checked the Marine FBX (Opened in WordPad) he had the 4 animations divided into separate takes, like Idle, run, aim and shoot.
My question is how did you/he access the animations in the enemybeast.fbx????

Also is there a method by which I can use a portion of the animation?? That is by calling just the start frame and end frame.

Stan

The custom effect used in the other guys sample should already support normal mapping, however in the sample I uploaded normal mapping isn't supported and you would need to write a custom shader for it.
