Release Notes

This new version FIXES A LOT OF BUGS found on previous release and comes with many new features.

The majos new features included on this version are:

  • XNAnimation Runtime:
    • Improved number of supported bones from 58 to 80 (thanks Jon Watte)
    • Normal and Specular mapping are now supported
    • SkinnedModelBasicEffect reports vertex and pixel shader profiles used
    • AnimationController.Update() performance increased!
  • XNAnimation Pipeline:
    • Added "Split Animation File" parameter. Splits the main model animation based on an XML file.
    • Added "Change Texture Path" and "Change Texture Path Type" parameters. Changes the path of all textures to a new absolute and relative path.
    • Added ModelProcessor parameters: "Generate Tangent Frame", "Model Rotation" and "Model Scale".
    • Added DEBUG parameters: "Dump Model Hierarchy" and "Dump Model Animations".
    • Material processor now reads material properties from the model, including Diffuse, Normal and Specular maps.

A complex work, especially, on having penetrated in the collections of animation, and these in those of channels and these in turn in them of keyframes. All this work is for an easy and intuitive use of the animation for the user.

This is a great framework and i've beem trying to modify adding some functionalities and then post back to the creator. Thanks.
